Unfortunately we don’t know of any insurer who covers this at present. There are reports of insurance being offered from abroad, but this should be considered with caution.

I am considering going to thailand for a cosmetic surgery I have had quote from US and Uk and belgium and thailand is the best for me in terms as I am from asian origin. They do maintain my ethnic look after surgery which none of the western based surgeon can offer. But I need a good travel Insurance to cover my time in Thailand any suggestions will be greately appreciated.

A word of caution for anyone travelling abroad to receive treatment. Your travel insurance is unlikely to cover you if you are travelling to obtain medical treatment. Check the medical conditions section of your insurance.

Another up and coming destination is India. Since a large number of doctors in the US are of Indian origin anyway with family ties in India, new hospitals in India are attracting them back to offer quality healthcare at low cost. http://www.medical-treatment-in-india.com is a cool web site that gives you the info you need to make your decision.
