Are you missing out?
Millions of pounds a year is failing to be claimed by Brits who don’t reclaim their tax on cancelled flight tickets. That is the result of an insureandgo poll of 2070 people carried out by YouGov earlier this year. Nearly half of them were not aware that they could claim anything back while 3% were put off making the claim due to the high administration charge from the airline.
The amount which can be reclaimed can be as much as £150, said the insurance company’s MD Perry Wilson. They need to be far more transparent about how they calculate their refund charges which can be as much as £30.
