Ryanair Shutdown
Not very good Valentine’s Day news for Ryanair. Their website and online booking system will be closed for three days from 10 pm on Friday, 22nd February until midnight on Monday, 25th February. The 74-hour shutdown could mean big losses for the budget airline.
The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) says it has given Ryanair plenty of time to comply with the rule that prices displayed on its website must include all charges and taxes within the advertised fares.
It’s unclear whether the airline is being forced to shut down its website to change the fare structure, or whether it is doing so voluntarily. However, deadline after deadline has been missed - long after other airlines have somehow managed to comply. If you are planning a trip then don’t get caught out - especially if you need a fare comparison between the budget airlines.

I shall be travelling with Ryanair on the afternoon of 25th Feb,whilst booking online I was asked to check details of flights 72 hours prior to flight time,a link was provided for this service. If they are indeed shutting the website down does this come under the heading of “Useless Information”.
