StumbleUponLong Term Parking for Heathrow’s New Terminal 5
Heathrow’s Terminal 5 (T5) has its own brand spanking new Long Stay car park on the north perimeter road, so if you plan to fly from Terminal 5 for an extended trip you might want to book in advance for the T5 parking. A transfer service by courtesy bus operates 24 hours a day, year round, to take passengers to the terminal. An additional fifteen minutes should be allowed to reach the terminal. (Note that trailers are not allowed in the car park).
The new T5 Long Stay car park has the same tight security as the other long term parks, being manned 24 hours a day and patrolled on a frequent basis with CCTV and fencing. Other Long Term parking options are available - suitable for passengers who will be away for more than a couple of days. Parking Express is the official Long Stay park for Terminals 1,2,3 and 4 and they are all served by courtesy coach transfers every 10-12 minutes.
Heathrow offers other types of parking to suit all needs. You can choose to park closest to your terminal, or take cheaper options further away. They have Business Parking - which is located closer to the terminals and has a rapid transfer service. Short Stay parks are available at each of the terminals, for stays of up to five hours. If you want to treat yourself and save a lot of time and hassle - and don’t mind paying a bit extra - choose Valet Parking for the convenience of dropping your car off at the terminal forecourt and having it brought to you when you return.
It is always better, and cheaper, to book in advance but Drive-up prices are available. Check the BAA website for more information on their parking facilities at www.baa.com or search online for cheap parking options.
