Cannes and Venice Film Festival Dates 2008

The Cannes Film Festival is already well underway, running from May 14 through May 25.   Whether you want to avoid the crowds, or mingle with the Hollywood set and international movie stars, information is available on the official website.

The 65th Venice International Film Festival will take place this year from August 27 to September 6 on Venice’s lovely Lido island.  Venice is a popular destination and crowded at any time of the year, but especially so during this period.  If you haven’t booked already, accommodation at this time is likely to be expensive and scarce.  For more information click here.
