Airlines Need Advance Passenger Information for Travel to Bermuda
Several countries already require airlines to gather Advance Passenger Information prior to flights and Bermuda has been added to the list. Failure to supply the information could result in refusal of entry - and the airline would deny boarding. Check with your airline for specific requirements and deadlines.
The required information includes: passport number, expiry date and country of issue; full name (must match names on passport); gender, nationality, and date of birth.
Passengers flying to Bermuda, or any other country requiring Advance Passenger Information, must supply the necessary information to the airline prior to departure. In many cases this can be done during online booking or check-in. The rule also applies to infants. Useful information can be found on the British Airways website.
Check for updates regarding your particular destination, but countries currently requiring Advance Passenger Information include: Canada, USA, Spain, China, Japan, Korea, Mexico, South Africa, Thailand, United Arab Emirates, and most of the Caribbean.
For travel to, or for transiting the USA, you will need to provide your country of residence (final destination if transiting); alien registration or greencard number (if applicable), or a street address for your first night’s accommodation during your stay in the US.
