American, United and Continental Airlines Cutting Flights and Jobs

More worrying news from the airline industry as airlines continue to cut flights - translating into lost jobs for thousands of employees. United Airline followed American Airline in cutting flights, and now Continental has joined them. Continental is grounding more than 60 of its domestic aircraft and laying off thousands of employees. United also plans to close down its subsidiary Ted Airline.

With the soaring price of fuel and slow economy this is unlikely to be the end of the bad news from the airline industry.
