French Port Workers - 48 Hour Strike - June 17-18

Strikes are likely at all French independent ports during the early part of this week. Anyone planning to travel by ferry to French ports (including Bordeaux, Dunkirk, La Rochelle, Le Havre, Marseille, Nantes-Saint Nazaire and Rouen) from today through Wednesday June 17, should check with their tour operator or ferry company for updates on the situation before setting off.  Those travelling by private boat should check with the destination port before sailing.  

If travelling by car don’t forget to take out Vehicle Breakdown Cover for Europe!
