Nine airports in Scotland and surrounding islands are closed today due to strikes by fire and rescue workers. The affected airports include Barra, Benbecula, Campbeltown, Islay, Kirkwall, Stornoway, Sumburgh, Tiree and Wick. At the time of writing, Inverness and Dundee Airports are open, but flights to Shetland, Orkney and the Western Isles are affected. Another strike is planned for July 4th unless an agreement is reached over a pay dispute. For more information contact your airline or check the Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL) website for updates.
