Tickets Go on Sale Soon for Eurostar Ski Train - 2008-09 Season
Eurostar ski train tickets for the 2008-09 ski season officially go on sale on 16 July, so take a break from your summer activities and start working out plans for your winter fun now!
The fist ski train departs from St. Pancras International and Ashford International on December 20, stopping at Moutiers, Bourg-St.-Maurice and Aime-la-Plagne – all within easy reach of dozens of top ski resorts such as Courchevel, Meribel, Les Arcs and Tignes. Choose between the overnight train – which maximizes time on the slopes - or the day service which is best for admiring the scenery. The ski train services continue through until April 18, 2009.
Those living outside London have the option to purchase through tickets and travel via domestic trains to St. Pancras and connect with Eurostar. Passengers are permitted to take the normal baggage allowance on Eurostar plus an extra item, such as skis or snowboard, at no additional cost. Better yet, Eurostar is carbon neutral and offers a way to reach the slopes which is friendly to the environment – much more so than air travel!
Check the Eurostar website for more information and timetables. Bookings can either be made online at www.eurostar.com or by calling 08705 186 186. Check out our Ski Guides and obtain a low cost quote for our excellent ski insurance here.
