Refunds due to B.A. and Virgin Atlantic Passengers for Fuel Surcharges
Passengers who purchased tickes on Virgin Atlantic or British Airways flights in the U.K. or U.S. between August 11 2004 and March 23 2006 may be eligible for a partial refund of the fuel surcharge paid on the flights. Refunds apply to all British Airways long-haul flights - and all Virgin Atlantic flights are classified as long-haul.
The proposed refund settlement is the result of a class-action lawsuit. The two companies must refund a total of more than £73,500,000 to passengers who qualify and submit claim forms. Any unclaimed funds due to U.S. passengers will be donated to charity. There is no charge to make a claim and applications can be filed online.
Full details and a list of the flights which qualify for refunds can be found on the official settlement website. The official website can also be accessed via the British Airways or Virgin Atlantic websites. However, note that the airlines should not be contacted directly regarding any questions or claims.

My family and I have taken a couple flights between these dates and with Virgin Atlantic and would like to be reimbursed for the fuel surcharges. We are Virgin Silver Members.

Hello,
Glad to know this information was of help to you. You will need to click on the link for the official settlement website or via the airline website - as posted in the main blog - and follow instructions from there for obtaining a refund. This is not something that we are able to help with personally. Good luck!
