Dubai Travel Set to Increase - Should Party Animals Avoid UAE?
The Farnborough Airshow is in full swing and FlyDubai has put in an order with Boeing for fifty 737-800 series planes. The airline plans to begin scheduled flights next year which will translate into more visitors - and, unfortunately, many more arrests!
With the potential for greatly increased tourism to Dubai in the near future, travellers would be wise to educate themselves about the local laws, customs and rules in order to avoid trouble. The police in Dubai are having a field day at the moment, having arrested close to 80 people on beaches recently for violating decency rules. People have also been arrested for posing as tour guides and taxi drivers without licenses. Those who want to let their hair down and party hard on holiday or are looking to make a fast buck might consider avoiding the UAE and stick with the Costa del Sol!
