Colorado Ranks as Top U.S. Ski and Year-Round Destination
Those who have sampled skiing Colorado-style will know why it is hard to resist returning year after year. In fact, visitors flock to the ‘colourful’ state year-round to enjoy the beautiful scenery and wealth of outdoor activities during all four seasons. Winter in Colorado is hard to beat for fun in the snow. As the snow melts the snow bunnies migrate to warmer climes during ‘mud season’. Spring is the time for hiking and biking, with the daring taking to rafts and kayaks on the sparkling, clear rivers. Summer blazes in with endless blue skies, music festivals, and mountains carpeted with wild flowers. Autumn (Fall) crowns the mountains with gold as the aspen trees turn colour and usher in the first snows of another ski season.
According to a report by the Tourism Office of Colorado the state is experiencing yet another year of steady growth. Colorado also remains first for U.S. skiing - beating resorts in the north-east and California.
