Peace of Mind with LOCATE and Comprehensive Travel Insurance

In today’s uncertain world it’s nice to know you have the safety net of Travel Insurance if problems arise.  If the worst should happen you’ll be glad of all the help you can get – especially if it’s dependable and free – so why not register with LOCATE as well.

LOCATE is a new service provided by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.  All you need to do is register on their website and provide your travel plans and contact details online.  Once registered the embassy staff in your destination country will be notified of your presence and aware of your location in the event of an emergency.  For future trips all you have to do is log in and update your account. 

If a major catastrophe like a terrorist attack, hurricane, tsunami or earthquake should occur the embassy will already know who you are, where you are, and be able to contact you to see if you need assistance.  They can also help you stay in contact with family and loved ones at home if communications becomes difficult.  The service is available to British Nationals who are either travelling or living abroad.
