French Airports and Paris Affected by Rail Strike
French rail workers are planning a one day strike for tomorrow, Tuesday September 23. The RER Blue line service on Transport maps of Paris will be affected. The Blue line connects Orly and Charles de Gaulle airports with the centre of Paris. Travellers should be prepared for problems getting into Paris as available taxis and shuttle buses are expected to be very busy.
Service through the Channel Tunnel is back to normal following the recent fire, although the trains are still operating on a restricted schedule. Those with plans to travel by Eurostar should contact Eurostar www.eurostar.com or their travel company for further information.
