Ferry to France? Sale on New Routes with LD Lines

Good news for Channel-crossers.  Following the unfortunate failure of SpeedFerries last year, a new twice-daily service with LD Lines will help fill the gap when it begins operating on February 12 between Dover and Boulogne.  The start date has been brought forward six months from the original date of July 1.  LD Lines will provide service for passengers and freight with the number of trips increasing from two to six return trips from July 1.  A new route between Dover and Dieppe will also be available, providing a convenient link with Normandy. 

Bookings must be made by January 31, 2009 to take advantage of the discounted introductory fares — starting from £24 one way for a car and four passengers on the Dover—Boulogne route.  The Dover—Dieppe route is on offer for £29.50 one way for a car and two passengers. 

LD Lines also operates services between Portsmouth-La Havre and Newhaven-Dieppe, plus a direct ferry service between Le Havre and Rosslare Europort in S. Ireland.
