Who Wants to Travel and Be a Millionaire? Money Can’t Buy Love
Valentine’s Day is fast approaching… Maybe all you can afford this year is a quick tweet to your tweetheart on Twitter. For some it’s a time of hugs and happiness, but for singles it’s often a time to hunker down in front of the TV with a big dose of comfort food.
Unless you are a millionaire, or were organised and bagged an early travel bargain, that romantic weekend away may not be possible. Unfortunately, the Eurozone is no longer so budget-friendly either. A candlelight dinner and film close to home may be more do-able and if you haven’t seen Slumdog Millionaire yet – don’t miss it.
There is a bit of good news on the horizon for singles… The travel industry is finally listening and recognising that there are a lot of singles out there who would do more travelling if the dreaded Singles Supplement didn’t make it so expensive. Quite a few companies are already organising holidays for singles, reuniting old friends, and matching travel companions. However, the majority of singles, it seems, would prefer some privacy on holiday – without being penalised for it.
For couples, nothing is sure to cool the ardour quicker than reaching your romantic destination to find the airline has lost your luggage – including the bag containing your most romantic outfit and Valentine gifts. Lovers can live on love for a while, but it’s smart to have Travel Insurance to take care of the material things once your feet are back on the ground. Obtain a cheap quote here.
If your romantic plans involve driving – why take chances – especially with the weather we’ve been experiencing lately. Impress your love by having Vehicle Breakdown Cover in place – just in case. Breaking down in the middle of nowhere can be romantic – but not when it’s -4C out! Unless you have a friend to phone (with a tow truck) we’d suggest you have a lifeline ready to call for 24/7 Vehicle Breakdown Assistance.
Whatever your plans are - stay warm, travel safe, and Happy Valentine’s Day!
