Barcelona v Manchester United UEFA Champions League Final – Wed, May 27
The long-awaited final is almost here and the excitement and suspense is palpable! The final at the Olympic Stadium in Rome will be televised live here in the UK on Sky Sports 1 and ITV1. Whatever the outcome, we hope that Reds fans in Rome stay safe – and have paid a visit to the Foreign Office (FCO) website for updated information and advice. UEFA have issued a warning to fans that tickets are completely sold out and to beware of forged tickets being sold by touts. Visit the UEFA website for more information.
Fans should remember that the sale of alcohol has been banned in the stadium area and city centre of Rome. Full searches will be conducted at the outer ticket cordon before entering the stadium. Items such as make-up bags, perfume bottles and bags of coins will be confiscated – and not returned. Fans must carry photo identification with them – especially to enter the stadium. (Photo ID such as driving license or passport is best – copies of documents are not acceptable).
Tickets to the match include free access to public transportation in Rome (bus, tram, underground) from May 26-28 (but not transport to and from the airport). Free entrance to the Ara Pacis and Musei Capitolini is also included with a ticket from May 26-28.
