MotoGP – TT Circuit Assen Netherlands – June 27
Also known as the Dutch TT, this race has been held every year at the TT Circuit Assen since 1949. Teams and fans alike will be praying that the good weather holds for the seventh MotoGP event of the 2009 World Championship. The action kick-starts today and runs through Saturday June 27. 2009.
This fantastic spectator sport is not for the faint of heart -as the bikes push the limits hurtling past at speeds often reaching 185 mph (310 kph).
If you plan to travel out to the races, don’t forget to take along your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) as it is valid in The Netherlands. However, please remember that the EHIC is not a substitute for comprehensive travel insurance!
Visit our Travel Guide to the Netherlands and follow the link for the Foreign Office (FCO) ‘Know Before You Go’ campaign for important and updated travel advice and info. We always recommend that travellers visit the FCO website before setting out on a trip to another country. Being aware of the local laws and customs may help keep you from (innocently) violating their rules and landing on your leathers in a world of trouble!
Why not check out our Motorcycle Travel Insurance and obtain a quote. This policy is ideal for motorcyclists planning to tour or travel through Europe. Single trip or multi-trip cover is available to give you the option of the best value for money.
