Eurostar – Cheap RT Tickets for Paris and Brussels!

Fed up with the rainy weather and your ‘staycation’ in the UK yet?  Better hurry if  you want to grab one of the cheap RT tickets being offered by Eurostar!  If an overseas holiday is out of the question this year, why not treat yourself to a short break instead?

A number of tickets to Brussels and Paris are on offer by Eurostar from as little as £59 round trip.  Availability looks quite good for August and September, especially midweek.  When money is tight here is no place in the world like Paris for capturing the imagination.  It doesn’t cost much to sit at cafes, admire the sights, window-shop, and do some serious people-watching.

Instead of splashing out on an expensive meal, you could do some exploring and find a cheap and cheerful café where the locals eat and hang out.   If you can’t afford to do much shopping don’t worry, there is no law (as far as we are aware!) against pressing your nose up against the window. You might even get lucky and find a great deal in the sales.  All you have to do is find some cheap accommodation, get yourself to St. Pancras International, and in about two hours the magic of Paris or Brussels could be embracing you.

A few reminders… Don’t forget to take along your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC), just in case, and make sure your travel insurance policy is current.

It can work out much cheaper to pay a little extra for Annual Multi-trip travel insurance, especially if you are likely to take off for last minute holidays or short trips abroad (rather than purchasing a single trip policy each time).  Remember that most travel insurance (ours anyway!) also covers your getaways in the UK – if you have booked accommodation in advance for two or more nights.  Why not travel with peace of mind – especially in view of the current swine flu problem.

This Eurostar deal sounds like fun and we are getting quite tempted ourselves…
