MotoGP – Czech Republic August 14-16 2009
Don’t forget to tune in this weekend for the latest MotoGp from the Czech Republic (Cardion AB Grand Prix Ceske Republiky).
The action starts on Friday at the Automotodrom Brno and continues through Saturday until the main event on Sunday at 1pm (UK time). For all the latest MotoGP news and information visit the official website.
If you plan to travel out to the race pay a visit to our Travel Guide to the Czech Republic and follow the link for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) ‘Know Before You Go’ campaign for updated and important travel advice and information.
As an example, the FCO advises that you should carry a copy of your passport information page with you for ID purposes, as well as copies of your EHIC, travel insurance, and other important information. Visas may be required by holders of British passports if nationality is anything other than British Citizen. Your passport should be valid for six months’ in case of any problem which delays your return. Passports should also be in good condition to avoid possible denial of entry.
Take your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) with you, but remember that it is not a substitute for travel insurance. (Although the EHIC entitles you to emergency medical treatment at a state-run facility, it does not cover ongoing treatment or medical repatriation - not to mention lost luggage! For more information about healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic refer to the FCO travel advice.
