The France Show 2010 in London - 8-10 January

Are you a Francophile, avid Alpine skier, or wannabe French property owner? Perhaps you just love to travel and discover different cultures?Maybe you are entranced with that certain French je ne sais quoi?

Whatever the reason for your love of all things French, don’t miss the opportunity to spend some time at The France Show, running from 8-10 January 2010 at Earls Court, London.

A large variety of exhibitions, seminars and events are planned.  If you love cooking and/or eating there will be cookery demonstrations and opportunities to sample delicious French cuisine.  Car enthusiasts will enjoy the Renault classic car exhibition - and the chance to win a new Renault.

For French property owners or those contemplating purchasing in France, there will be seminars offering useful advice on all aspects of property ownership.  Experts will be on hand to advise on various aspects of setting up home in France, banking and financial, tax and legal issues and mortgage and pension advice.  Those contemplating taking on a major property renovation can also find advice. There will be seminars on many other interesting France-related subjects, with guest speakers to include author Kate Mosse and actress Carole Drinkwater.

Why not plan to be there?  Take a diversion from the dreary British winter, cheer yourself for the New Year and pretend you are in romantic France for a day.  Without leaving London you can try your hand at the traditional game of Petanque, indulge in French wine and champagne tasting and visit a French Market – all under one roof!  For more information visit The France Show website (thefranceshow.com)

Before you pack the car for your next ski trip or trip across the Channel check to make sure your UK/European Car Breakdown cover is still current.  Although the EHIC is valid for France, remember that it is not a substitute for comprehensive ski insurance or travel insurance.  For more information visit our Travel Guide for France and follow the link for the Foreign Office (FCO) for updated travel advice.
