Egypt – Change in FCO Travel Advice
As the situation has improved greatly since the resignation of President Mubarak, the Foreign Office (FCO) no longer advises against all but essential travel to Luxor.
The FCO continues to advise against ‘all but essential travel’ to Alexandria, Cairo and Suez. However, they no longer advise British nationals who do not have a pressing need to remain to leave these cities when safe to do so by commercial means.
Continue to monitor FCO travel advice for further updates or changes before booking any travel.
Be aware that booking travel or travelling to a country after a government advisory against travel has gone into effect could invalidate related claims on your travel insurance!
