Eligibity
This policy is only available to you if:
- You are resident in the United Kingdom.
- You are registered with a medical practitioner in the United Kingdom.
- You are in the United Kingdom at the time of purchasing this insurance.
- Your trip starts and ends in the United Kingdom.
- You have booked a return ticket to the United Kingdom within the dates shown on your Validation Certificate.

Material Facts
All material facts must be disclosed to the Underwriter at the time
of taking out this Insurance. Failure to do so may result in the
Underwriter's non-liability for claims. A material fact is any fact
known to you which is likely to influence the Underwriter in the
acceptance or assessment of the insurance.
If you are in any doubt
as to whether a fact is 'material' then, for your own protection,
it should be disclosed. All information provided in purchasing this
insurance shall form the basis of the contract. You should keep a
record (including copies of letters) of all information provided
to the Issuing Agent for the purpose of entering into this contract.
Medical Conditions
(Annual Travel Insurance)
On Annual Travel Insurance policies, You must inform us of any change
to an existing medical condition, or any new medical condition, diagnosed
during the life of the insurance for which you wish to be insured
for on any future trips.
Medical Conditions
The insurance excludes any claims arising directly or indirectly
where at the time of taking out the insurance or booking a trip you
or any person whose condition gives rise to a claim:
- Is expected to give birth within three months of the return date
of your trip.
- Has ever suffered from, had diagnosed, or been treated for anxiety,
depression or a psychiatric disorder.
You must declare if any of the insured...
- are travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner or
for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment, or received a terminal
prognosis? are on a hospital waiting list or awaiting the results
of any medical investigations?
- have during the last 12 months received hospital inpatient treatment,
or suffered any medical condition which requires ongoing medical
treatment or has caused referral to a specialist?
- have ever suffered from, had diagnosed, or been treated for
a malignant disease (e.g. cancer); a lung or heart related condition
(excluding well controlled asthma); or hypertension (high blood
pressure)?
- A policy excludes claims arising directly or indirectly to anyone not
on this policy whose condition may give rise to a claim
where at the time of taking out the insurance or booking a trip
they can answer Yes to any of the above questions.
Your Cover
You will be insured for risks associated with cancellation from
the moment payment is cleared while the remainder of the policy will
come into effect at the date of departure you have notified us of
on this application form (Single Trip policies only).
On annual multi
trip policies the cancellation cover will commence from the date
shown on your validation certificate.
Money Back Guarantee / Cooling Off Period
If you are not happy with your travel insurance policy, you may
return it to Travel Insurance Direct within 14 days of issue and
we will refund your premium in full, provided you have not travelled
