What Conditions do I need to declare?
- A Pre-existing Medical Condition is defined as any condition from which you, or anyone upon whom your trip depends, has suffered from, or received any form of medical advice, treatment or medication within the last twelve months prior to you purchasing this insurance.
Accepted Conditions:
You do not need to contact Our medical pre-screening company if the only medical condition(s) you have appears in the following list provided You are not awaiting surgery for the condition and have been fully discharged from any post-operative follow-up and the words in brackets apply to You:

In addition to any Medical Condition shown in the above table, You may be automatically accepted for cover if You have ONLY ONE of the following conditions provided you have NO other Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s).
Arthritis (Juvenile, Osteoarthritis, Rheumatoid or Psoriatic Arthritis, Reiter’s Syndrome, Rheumatism): • There must have been NO hospital admissions within the last 12 months.
Asthma (Wheezing):
Diabetes Mellitus (Sugar Diabetes):
Down’s Syndrome:
Hypercholesterolaemia (High/Raised Cholesterol):
Hypertension (High Blood Pressure, White Coat Syndrome):
Hypotension (Low Blood Pressure):
Osteoporosis (Osteopaenia, Fragile Bones):
If You have any other Pre-Existing Medical Condition(s), the Medical Condition does not meet the above criteria or You have more than one condition, You must contact the Medical Screening Company on 0845 250 5374 to declare ALL Your Pre-Existing Medical Conditions to ensure that the cover will meet Your needs. Please note that cover cannot be offered for any Pre-Existing Medical
Please also note there is no cover for claims arising from any pyschological condition (including anxiety, stress, depression, psychiatric or eating disorders, phobias).

Contacting the Medical Screening Company:
If you contact the Medical Screening Company trained operators will ask you a few simple questions about your intended trip and the medical condition. You will be advised as to whether your Pre-Existing Medical Conditions can be covered, whether there will be an additional premium to pay or whether there are any changes to be made to the Policy terms and conditions.
If cover can be provided, You will be given an acceptance code and a letter will be sent to you upon receipt of payment, detailing the extension of cover where applicable. Please read this letter carefully and keep it with Your Policy Schedule as it confirms the terms of cover. Any payment for pre-existing medical condition cover is made to the Medical Screening Company.

Note: The insurance will exclude claims where at the time of taking out this insurance or booking a trip, you, the insured, or anyone on whose health your travel plans depend, is travelling against the advice of a medical practitioner; is on a hospital waiting list or awaiting results of medical investigations; or has received a terminal prognosis.

Pregancy
As is consistent with the treatment of all pre-existing medical conditions under the Policy, the Policy does not intend to cover the normal costs or losses otherwise associated with pregnancy (including multiple pregnancies) or childbirth. This includes, but is not limited to, delivery by caesarean section or any other medically or surgically assisted delivery which does not cause medical complications. The Policy does, however, cover You should complications arise with Your pregnancy due to Accidental injury or unexpected illness which occurs while on Your Trip.
