Travel Insurance Covering Medical Conditions

Travel Insurance Direct operates an online medical screening system which has been designed by a team of doctors and medical experts. This allows travel insurance customers to obtain a policy which includes cover for a wide range of range of pre-existing medical conditions.

To obtain a quote:

1. Obtain a normal travel insurance quote for the policy, duration, and area you require. You can include those travelling with you who require insurance but do not have a medical condition to declare.
    
   
2. Once you have obtained a quote, click the "NEXT" button which will open the Medical Declaration page. You should read this carefully and answer the questions on behalf of everyone on the insurance.
    
3. If you have answered yes to either of the medical questions you will enter the medical screening options. Read the instructions and then continue to enter the details of all those on the insurance.
   
   For everyone who has (or has had) a condition to declare, tick the "Has Condition" box adjacent to their name. If you cannot find the condition then enter the first few letters of it. If at any point you think you have made a mistake, then click the Start Again link.
    
4. Once you have clicked the "NEXT" button you will then be asked to enter the medical condition for the first person you are declaring for. You will probably be asked some questions which you will need to answer as accurately as possible.
    
5. If there is more than one person to screen for then you will be asked to answer questions for them in turn.
    
6. Once you have completed the screening, you will be told if we are able to provide full cover and if here is an additional premium to pay. You may choose to exclude cover for the condition/s in question without incurring any extra cost.
