Winter SportsThe following cover is also applicable when the appropriate / additional premium has been paid for the issue of single-trip winter sports cover or added to an annual multi-trip policy.
Business CoverThe following cover is also applicable when the appropriate additional premium has been paid for the issue of a Business Annual Multi-trip policy.
Golf CoverThe following cover is also applicable when the additional premium has been paid.
MotorcyclingThe following cover is also applicable when the Motorcycling Travel Insurance policy has been purchased.
SIGNIFICANT EXCLUSIONSMedical conditions: If at the time of taking out the insurance or booking a trip you or any person upon whose health your travel plans depend:
… this insurance will exclude any claims arising directly or indirectly as a result of that condition. The policy excludes* claims relating to any of the following medical conditions where these have been previously suffered, diagnosed or treated for:
* Unless declared and accepted at time of application The policy excludes claims relating to any medical condition which has been suffered within the last 12 months and has required either: On-going medical treatment; referral to a specialist; or hospital inpatient treatment. Motorcycle Travel InsuranceMotorcycling cover is only available to riders of their own motorcycle up to 1400cc. There is no cover for motorcycle related personal liability claims or personal accident claims and there is no cover for claims related to racing, time trials, or similar track riding. Personal Money
Sports and Hazardous ActivitiesWe have included a comprehensive range of activities which are covered on a casual or incidental basis as standard, and an additional list of activities which are covered on a non-incidental or regular basis with reduced cover and subject to increased medical excess. DURATION OF COVERSingle Trips: Section A1 - Cancellation Cover is effective
from the time and date of issue of the insurance policy and ends
at the start of the insured trip. For all other sections, cover
starts when you leave your home or business (whichever is later)
to start the trip and ends whichever occurs first of the following:
(a) The expiry date of the insurance; (b) Your return home at
the end of the trip; (c) Your return home prior to the end of
the planned trip. (On trips of more than 4 months duration, one
return home is permitted during which time the cover is suspended.) CANCELLATION RIGHTSWe hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides however
you have the right to cancel it within 14 days of issue provided
that a claim does not exist, and travel has not commenced. MAKING A CLAIMIf you have a claim, please telephone Travellers Protection Services on Tel: +44 (0) 8707 744 199 within 28 days of the event. EMERGENCY ASSISTANCEWhilst in the USA, Canada, Caribbean or Mexico: GLOBAL EXCEL should be contacted before proceeding with any medical treatment. Global Excel will direct You to the nearest medical provider and may guarantee costs on Your behalf. FINANCIAL SERVICES COMPENSATION SCHEMEAXA Insurance UK plc are covered by the Financial Services Compensation
Scheme (FCSC). You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme,
if they cannot meet their obligations. This depends on the type
of business and the circumstances of the claim. Most insurance
contracts are covered for 100% of the first £2,000 and
90% of the remainder of the claim. You can get more information
about compensation scheme arrangements from the FSCS.
