Saskatchawan is the province located in the southern part of Canada, between Alberta to the west and Manitoba to the east. There are quite a few places to find some good skiing and boarding in the hills. Useful website: www.sasktourism.com Blackstrap Winter Sports ParkBlackstrap is a man-made mountain approx. 30 minutes south of Saskatoon. It offers skiing, boarding, snowblading, tubing and skating. Day lodge with outdoor heated deck. 13 runs, longest run 1,460 feet, vertical drop 325 feet. Terrain park with half pipe. There is a triple lift, T-bar, handle tow and rope tow. Lessons and rentals available. Night skiing on Friday. There are 20 runs, 2 T-bar lifts and one handle tow lift. Vertical drop 325 feet, longest run 4,000 feet. There is a half pipe. Rentals are available for snowboards, skis and Nordic. Mission RidgeMission Ridge is located in the lovely Qu’Appelle Valley northeast of Regina. There are 9 runs with longest run of 2,600 feet, vertical drop 292 feet and 25 skiable acres. Snowmaking. 1 chair lift, 1 T-bar lifts and 2 handle tows on beginner runs. Skier levels: 40% beginner, 30% intermediate, 30% advanced. Terrain park with half pipe. Lessons and rentals. Day lodge. There are Nordic and snowmobiling trails close by. 5 runs, longest run 2,600 feet, vertical drop 300 feet, 1 T-bar, 1 rope tow. Nearby are cross-country ski trails and snowmobiling areas. Rentals and lessons available. Table Mountain Regional ParkTable Mountain is located west of Battleford. There are 8 runs, longest run 3,600 feet, vertical drop 360 feet, snowmaking. 2 handle tows, 1 T-bar and 1 quad chair. Terrain park. Tubing. Chalet with café and licensed lounge. Lessons and rentals. Twin TowersTwin Towers is located northwest of Rosetown and offers 9 runs with longest run of 2,300 feet, vertical drop 300 feet. Halfpipe but no terrain park. Snowmaking. 1 T-bar. There is a day lodge with café and licensed lounge. 8 runs, longest run 2,600 feet, vertical drop 285 feet, snowmaking. Terrain park. 1 quad chairlift, 1 handle tow and 1 knob tow. Rentals and lessons available. Night skiing on Fridays. On-slope accommodations available. White Track Ski AreaWhite Track is northwest of Moose Jaw in Buffalo Pound Provincial Park. Two chalets. 8 runs, longest run 975 feet, vertical drop 220 feet. Terrain park. Snowmaking. T-bar and 2 two-ropes. Rentals and lessons available. Night skiing Wednesday and Friday.
