Ordino-Arcalis

There is so much to do in Ordino-Arcalis. A Snow park caters for the family and is especially designed for snowboarders and the young and not so young who want to try their hand at the latest freestyle trends. Ordino has a marvellous Freeride area offering arguably the best off-piste area in the Pyrenees for both skiiers and snowboarders.

For a different type of snowy exhilaration the resort can offer snowmobiling either on its own permanent circuit or as a part planned excursion into the countryside. Then take to the skies for a scenic helicopter flight over the mountains for a birds eye view of the area.

Pal Arisnal

Web Site:www.palarinsal.com

When it comes to the number of activities on offer Pal Arisnal beats its neighbour Ordino-Arcalis hands down. Not that this really matters because both have now joined together to make up one super resort of Valnord.

Pal Arisnal skiers can experience an exciting Bumps area where piste machines never go, for groups and clubs there is a FIS stadium where races can be organised, and in addition to a variety of free ski areas for boarders, juniors and lovers of the half pipe, visitors can also find:

  • Mountain Orienteering
  • Mushing
  • Parapenting
  • Ski Biking
  • Snow Shoeing and
  • Snowmobiling.

Pas de la Casa

Sitting in the eastern part of Andorra close to Soldeu the resort of Pas de la Casa is said to be the sunniest and highest ski resort in the Pyrenees. North facing slopes certainly offer some of the best snow with quality and quantity virtually guaranteed from December to May.

Soldeu

Web Site: http://www.grandvalira.com

Situated 5 km east of Canillo, Andorra Soldeu is 220 km (137 miles) from Barcelona, Spain, the nearest international airport.

Soldeu has a great ski school and is an excellent resort for both beginners and intermediates and has a permanent link with Pas de la Casa. It is not so good for the experienced or off-piste skier who will probably find something a bit more challenging in the other resorts nearby.
