New Avalanche
Awareness Weekends for
Ski Freshtracks 2006/7 Programme
Ski Freshtracks, the specialists in adventure skiing, where
holidays are matched to skiing ability, are now offering avalanche
awareness weekends to cater for the growing demand in mountain
education. The weekends based in Argentière are part
of six 'Respect the Mountain' holidays aimed at improving snowcraft
skills and raising awareness of how to travel safely in the
mountains.*
Ski Freshtracks offers a unique concept in the ski market where
each holiday is tailored to a specific standard of skiing. The
holiday matches the exact requirements of the skier and offers
an experience other tour operators cannot match. This concept
is ideal for individuals looking to ski with others who have
the same sense of adventure.
The 2006/7 programme also offers over 50 off-piste holidays,
ranging from an introduction to the exciting world of freeriding
to adventures for the most experienced off-piste skier.
For those looking to take their skiing to the next level, Ski
Freshtracks offers an extensive ski touring programme including
a fresh concept for those new to touring in the form of exploration
holidays and safaris. Rather than staying in secluded mountain
huts, many of these new 'safaris' use hotel accommodation as
a base from which to explore the mountains on touring skis.
Caroline Boileau, General Manager of Ski Freshtracks says of
the new programme:
"This is our most exciting programme to date. With our Respect the Mountain
holidays we offer top-class mountain education that can be put into practice
on our extensive off-piste, safari and touring trips. What makes Ski Freshtracks
holidays so successful, however, is our concept of bringing skiers of the same
standard together. If skiers are looking for something other than off-piste
skiing we have extremely competitively priced holidays at Christmas, New Year
and half term plus trips for families, teenagers, action holidays and a massive
range of weekends."
2006/7 also sees the return of a female only ‘Women Will’ weekend
in association with Salomon to Saas Fee, and the introduction
of Baqueira Beret in Spain as a new resort. For pure adrenalin
junkies Ski Freshtracks have teamed up with Elemental Adventure,
the world-renowned heli-ski operation, to offer the ultimate
ski trip. The ever successful Peak Experience programme continues
to cater for skiers 50 years and over.
