If you are looking for something a bit different how about Alaska? They
speak English and currency is the US Dollar. Skiing in
Alaska may be perceived as too cold and extreme and not everyone’s
cup of tea but it has a variety of terrain that can satisfy any
level of skier, as well as the excitement of heli- skiing and
a guaranteed abundance of snow. For those who wish to avoid
the crowded and more glamorous slopes of the many ritzy resorts,
skiing in Alaska may be the answer. As well as downhill
and cross country skiing you may want to have a try at heli skiing
and dog sledding. Other resorts in Alaska include Alpenglow,
Hilltop, Moose Mountain and Mount Evak.
