Skiing in Oregon has been around a long time. There are now
in the region of 14 ski areas and 400 trails in the state. Those
who ski in Oregon enjoy its beauty and uncrowded slopes. The
largest ski area at Mt. Hood is Mt. Hood Meadows with its 10 lifts
and four high speed quads. Mt. Hood Ski Bowl is reputed to
have the largest area for night skiing in the U.S. with over 30 runs
lit up. Cooper Spur is the area for families and beginners
to enjoy a leisurely pace together. The many ski areas
and resorts are spread down the state from north to south. Further
south in the state, the Hoodoo Ski Area in the Central Cascade mountains
is a popular area and also offers night skiing.
Mount Hood was Oregon’s first ski area. Today, Timberline is
a very popular ski in/ski out resort. The Mt. Hood ski area
comprises Timberline, Cooper Spur, Mt. Hood Meadows and Mt.
Hood Ski Bowl.
Other ski resorts and areas in Oregon include Anthony Lakes, Cooper
Spur, Hoodoo Ski Area, Mt. Ashland, Mt. Bachelor Spout Springs, Summit
Ski Area, Warner Canyon and Willamette Pass.

Mount Hood Meadows
