Norwegian ski resorts may be popular, but there is still plenty
of room for everyone – lovely, wide pistes and superb lift
capacity makes skiing in Norway very much a carefree experience.
Facilities and equipment hire are nothing short of brilliant
in Norway, and tuition with helpful, English speaking instructors
for adults and children is found almost everywhere. In many resorts,
children get free lift passes, and often free equipment too.
Children have their own areas on many of the slopes and crèches
and nannies are normally available.
Off piste there's plenty to keep everyone entertained. Norway's
après ski is amongst the best to be found in Europe and
after a hard day on the piste you won't be short of great restaurants
and bars. Then there's the husky sledding, tobogganing and ski
fishing plus much, much more.
It is also worth noting many of Norway's resorts are perfectly
positioned should you fancy a day trip to the magnificent fjords,
or perhaps shopping in Oslo or Bergen.
