and racial harmony. Mauritius is covered with lush vegetation,
plentiful streams and waterfalls and is surrounded by coral reefs
full of sealife.
Although the island boasts many top hotels and resorts, these
have been blended in with the surrounding natural beauty and
ecology, so not to damage the environment. Mauritius is actually
made up of 2 islands; the larger is known as Mauritius and contains
the captal city, Port Louis . Rodrigues is the smaller of the
2 islands but is actually located around 500km away.

Mauritius , is a tropical climate but is altered ocasionally
by southeast trade winds. As an average there is a warm, dry
winter between May and November followed by a mainly hot, wet
and humid summer from November to May.
