About Aberdeen Airport
Aberdeen Airport is located to the North West of Aberdeen centre. As
well as a thriving airline base, Aberdeen Airport is one of the world's
busiest commercial heliports. It serves over 2.5 million passengers
a year and offering flights to around 35 (fixed-wing) destinations
by 18 fixed-wing airlines.
How to Get There
The airport is 7 miles North West of the Aberdeen city centre on
the A947 at Dyce. There is a large car park in front of the terminal
building for short and long stay parking. You can drop off passengers
outside the terminal building, but if you want to visit the terminal
building you should use the car park.
Shopping
Like all major international airports, Aberdeen has a bureau de change
providing a holiday money service. Bank machines (ATM's) are situated
both before and after security. For Internet connections, Wireless
Internet is available in the departure lounges. The airport has
a pub, bar and coffee shop as well as a variety of book shops,
newsagents and a gift shop. Duty Free is available.
Business Facilities
The nearby Aberdeen Airport Thistle Hotel has full conference facilities
with room for up to 500 delegates. Conference facilities are also
available at The Speedbird Inn (20 delegates). Servisair operate
an executive lounge in the departure area after security.
Airport Car Parks
There are two main car parks for travellers
Aberdeen
Airpark has a minimum stay of 1 day and has valet service
available as an option and is manned 24 hours a day. Transfers
operate on request.
Aberdeen
NCP Flightpath is a long stay car park with a minimum
stay of 8 days. There is a 24 hour transfer service running to
and from the airport every 10 minutes. On arrival customers should
take a ticket at the barrier and park their car in the designated
area.

Operated by Airport service specialists Servisair, the Aberdeen lounge
offers a wide range of facilities including inclusive drinks, snacks,
newspapers and magazines. Business facilities include fax and modem
and a credit card phone. The lounge is suitable for both internal

and is open from 05.00 to 19.15 Mon - Fri & Sun, 05.00 - 16.15

Thistle
Aberdeen Hotel ****
The Thistle Aberdeen lies just 300 yards from the airport and just
5 minutes from Dyce Railway Station. Transfers from the airport can
be arranged by using the courtesy phone at the airport and the two
minute transfer is available 24 hours a day. Check in is available
from 14.00 while the latest checkouts are at 12 noon. Weekday breakfasts
are available from 05.30, Sat: 07.00 Sun: 08.00. Rooms are equipped
with satellite TV and in house movies, radio, telephone hairdryer,
ironing facilities trouser press and tea and coffee making facilities.

This four star establishment is just half a mile from the railway
station while transfers to the airport two miles away operates round
the clock every half hour. Breakfast is available from 06..0. Each
room has an en-suite bathroom, air conditioning and a mini bar together
with all the usual facilities. The hotel boasts a leisure club with
pool, sauna, gym and bar, two restaurants and meeting facilities.
Britannia
Hotel ***
This three star hotel is situated 2 miles from the airport but has
regular transfers operating between 05.00 and 23.00 Monday to Friday.
Breakfast is available from 07.00. Normal check in time is 14.00
although this can be earlier upon request. Colour TV, direct dial
telephone, satellite, hairdryer tea and coffee making facilities
and a trouser press are available in the rooms. The hotel has two
bars, a restaurant lifts, a small indoor swimming pool together with
sauna and solarium. A package to include 15 days parking is available.
Dyce
Skean Dhu Hotel
Situated 2 miles from the airport and 4 miles from town, the Dyce
Skean Dhu hotel offers a 24 hour transfer service on request. room
only breakfasts are available from 05.00. All the usual facilities
are available in the rooms while the hotel has a public bar and restaurant.
There are no lifts.
