About Birmingham Airport
For a major city airport, Birmingham is very easy to get to and
situated just 8 miles from the city centre. It is at the hub
of the country's motorway network so it is no wonder that its
popularity is increasing year on year. It is the UK's 5th largest
airport with over 50 airlines serving over 100 destinations
from two terminals.
How to Get There
You can reach the airport by one of the many motorways. It is
just one mile from Junction 6 of the M42 and has direct links
from M6, M5, M40, M1 and the M6 toll road. The airport railway
station - Birmingham International - is a two minute ride from
the terminal using the free Air-Rail link. There are also frequent
local and national bus services
Shopping
Birmingham Airport offers a wide range of shops in both terminals
and on both sides of customs. As an example, in Terminal 1
you can find such high street names as The Body Shop, W H Smiths,
Thorntons, Boots, and Dixon's while Terminal 2 offers World
News, Alpha Retail and Duty Free, and Photo Optix Books Plus.
Business Facilities
Business lounges can be found in both terminals with business
services available in each. The main Servisair lounge is situated
airside of the main terminal while landside lounges can be
found before passport control.

transfer service taking just 15 minutes, 24 hours a day. The
site is secured with fences and floodlight and has a 24 hour
patrol, CCTV and has won Secure Parking Awards. With over 2700
spaces available to cars (no mobile homes, lorries or caravans)
the car park is open 365 days a year.

Hilton Birmingham Metropole ****
Situated at the National Exhibition Centre just 10 minutes
from the airport, the Hilton provides for a relaxing stop over
both before and after your flight. Transfers run half hourly
on request though you will need to allow a bit more than the
usual 10 minute journey time in heavy traffic. Rooms include
TV, Trouser Press, Hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities
while the hotel offers a swimming pool, sauna, solarium, gym
and steam room to work off the extra put on at the Italian restaurant,
carvery or bars. Room service is available although only a continental
breakfast can be arranged in your room.
Novotel ***
The Novatel is located just across the road from the terminal
and a shuttle bus provides a service to anyone arriving by
train at the NEC Railway Station (2 minutes). In addition to
the usual room facilities there are pay movies and Play Stations.
A 24 hour room service is available with a limited menu. Check
in and checkout times are not 12 noon midday.
Crowne Plaza Birmingham NEC ****
Situated neatly between the airport terminal and Birmingham International
Railway Station, the Crowne Plaza is conveniently placed for
the National Exhibition Centre and Airport. A courtesy bus
runs every 15 minutes from 6am to 8pm though this must be booked
on arrival and is subject to availability. Transfers take about
10 minutes. Additional room facilities include mini bar, bath
robes, mineral water air conditioning and safe. The hotel can
boast a gym, sauna and solarium available from 7am to 9pm.
24 hour room service is available.
Holiday Inn Birmingham Airport ***
The Holiday Inn is just one and half miles from both the airport
terminal and railway station and just 8 miles from the city
centre. Transfers to and from the airport run from 5am to 9.15
and 4pm to 9.30 pm and breakfasts are available from 7am. All
the usual facilities can be found in the rooms, the hotel has
a restaurant and bar but there are no disabled lift facilities.
Birmingham Premier Inn ***
This is another hotel which is situated equidistant between
airport and railway station. Transfers are only available for
customers booking a parking package, other than that a taxi ride
is just 5 minutes. There os no room service.
Corus Hotel Solihull ***
Formerly the Regency Hotel, the Corus offers good value accommodation
close to Junction 4 of the M42 and a 20 minute transfer ride
to the airport. Room service is available from 7am to 10pm with
check in times or 14.00 and check out 12 midday. The hotel includes
Copperfields restaurant, a cocktail bar, Irish Theme Pub and
Swimming Pool.
Manor Hotel ***
Manor Hotel is just three miles from the airport making it a
simple 10 minute ride to the terminal buildings. check in is
from 14.oo and checkout latest is 11.00
Stonebridge Manor Hotel ***
Stonebridge Manor is one of the Quality Group hotels and is situated
8 miles from the airport in Allesley nr. Coventry.
Coventry Hill **
The Coventry Hill hotel offers great value accommodation
and is just 6 miles from the airport and 3 miles from the nearest
railway station. Transfers are available on request 24 hours
a day and is included in the price of booking. You will need
to pre-book. Room service is available at the hotel and breakfast
can be taken in your room 24 hours a day (continental only)
