About Bristol Airport
Bristol was the UK's second fastest growing airport in 2004 with
4.6 million passengers and 11 new routes for scheduled services.
Aberdeen, Bergerac, Berlin, Bordeaux, Budapest, Geneva, Madrid,
Manchester, Plymouth, Rome and Valencia – and three scheduled
airlines joined the airport, 2004 welcoming Aer Lingus, Air
Southwest and Eastern Airlines. In September, Continental
Airlines announced its intention to launch a direct service
to New York from Bristol, to begin on 20 May, 2005.
How to Get There
Bristol Airport is eight miles south of Bristol City Centre and
lies on the A38 Taunton road. From the North, leave the M5
at J18 (signposted) or from the south at J22 (3rd exit at roundabout
signed for A38). The nearest railway station is Bristol Temple
Meads which is about seven miles from the airport. The Bristol
International Flyer shuttle service operates a 20 minute service.
By coach - National Express operates from all over the country
to Bristol Bus Station from where you can pick up the Bristol
International Flyer.
Shopping & Airport Facilities
In line with other international airports, Bristol has an enticing
range of shops both land side and airside. High street names
include WH Smith, Travelex, Tie Rack and Cotton Traders. Travelex
Bureau de Change is available on both sides of security and
landside you will find the taxi and car hire desks.
Business Facilities
Servisair operate the Cabot Lounge airside at the airport, with
inclusive drinks and snacks, newspapers and magazines. The
lounge is open Sunday to Friday from 5am to 8.30pm and 5 am
to 6pm on Saturdays.

Town and Country Lodge ***
A short ten minute drive from the airport, the Town and Country
Lodge lays conveniently on the A38 between the terminal and city
centre. Each room includes private bathroom, telephone, TV, tea
and coffee, trouser press and hair dryer, while the hotel has
a restaurant and night club. Early breakfast can be taken from
6.30am (7am at weekends). Check ins are from 2pm while checkout
should be before 10.30am.
Novotel ***
The Novatel is located just across the road from the terminal
and a shuttle bus provides a service to anyone arriving by
train at the NEC Railway Station (2 minutes). In addition to
the usual room facilities there are pay movies and Play Stations.
A 24 hour room service is available with a limited menu. Check
in and checkout times are not 12 noon midday.
