About Cardiff Airport
Cardiff Airport attracts some two million passengers every year
attracting passengers from not just Wales but along the M4
corridor. Like many British airports this was an old wartime
airbase and once trained RAF Spitfire pilots. The first commercial
flights started in the 1950s with a regular service to Dublin.
Trans Atlantic flights started in 1971 and since then Cardiff
Airport has grown to become a serious contender for air passengers
on the west of the UK.

How to Get There
You can reach Cardiff Airport easily, being situated twelve miles
west of the centre of Cardiff and ten miles from the M4 at
Junction 33. There is a rail link connecting the airport with
Cardiff Central and Bridgend railway stations and a regular Bus Service - The Airbus
Xpress - service X91 runs directly to the city centre.

Cardiff Airport has food courts and shops both sides of security.
Landside it is situated on the first floor overlooking the
runway and includes the Food Village, Burger King and The Scrum
Half Bar. Airside you will find Cafe Ritazza and The Echo Bar.
Shops include World News and Duty Free shops.

Airport's executive lounge. Located 'Airside' the lounge
is open to both business travellers and leisure travellers
and is the perfect location to unwind, relax or complete that
last bit of paperwork.
