About Coventry Airport
Coventry is unusual for an airport its size in that it is owned
by a travel and holiday company TUI. Formerly the base of aircraft
manufacturers Armstrong Whitworth, the airfield was damaged
by the Luftwafe in WWII. Having joined forces with Thomsonfly,
Coventry Airport now flies to 15 European destinations and
is the budget airline's main base.

How to Get There
Coventry Airport is situated off the Toll Bar roundabout on the
A45 south of the city. From the north west take the south bound
M6 to Junction 2 and follow the signs for A46 Coventry. By
train, the airport is about three miles from Coventry Railway
Station and is connected with an hourly bus service.
Refreshments and Shopping
Prior to checking in refreshments can be found at Max Bean's
Cafe and Bar where, in addition to snacks and drinks, you can
also buy newspapers, magazines, toiletries and gifts. There
is also a bar in the departure lounge after check in together
with the airport shop and currency exchange.

The
Allesley Hotel ***
Situated six miles from the airport. Set
in a tranquil village, this custom-built hotel and well-equipped
conference centre is two miles from the city centre. Guestrooms
are decorated in red and cream tones with coordinated fabrics;
all include direct-dial phones and satellite TV. Guests
can enjoy Mediterranean dishes in the restaurant and a drink

Coventry Airport are available 24 hours a day by courtesy taxi
which should be arranged on arrival. Located just off the A46,
3 miles from the city centre, the hotel provides easy access
to the M6, M69 and M42 motorway and is conveniently situated
for the NEC. The Carnegie Room is a popular venue for wedding

for civil wedding ceremonies.
