About London City Airport
London City was born out of the massive Docklands development
in the East End of London, opening in 1987. The only airport
actually in London it specialises in the providing for the travel
needs of the City and East London with a focus on business travellers.

How to Get There
Situated just 10 miles (16km) from the West End of London (the
major shopping and theatre centre) and Westminster (location
of main government offices), six miles (10km) from the City
of London (the financial district) and three miles (5km) from
Canary Wharf (London's newest business and financial centre),
London City Airport is the most obvious choice for those travellers
who wish to arrive closest to Central London. The Docklands
Light Railway system runs directly to the airport which
has major connections at the Bank and Tower Gateway Stations,
and Canning Town (Jubilee Line) on the London Underground Tube
system.
