About Glasgow Prestwick International Airport
Glasgow Prestwick International Airport is located approx. 32
miles from the centre of Glasgow and can be reached by car,
bus, or approx. 45 mins. by direct rail link. The Airport is
serving approx. 2.5 million passengers per year and currently
offers 25 scheduled destinations as well as more than 10 holiday
destinations throughout Europe . Among other events, the airport
is remembered for a visit by Elvis Presley in 1960.
How to Get There
The airport is just 32 miles drive on motorway and dual carriageway
from Glasgow city centre. There is also a direct rail link from
Glasgow to the airport and a bus service which coincides with
scheduled flights not serviced by other means. The bus also leaves
Glasgow or Edinburgh very early in the morning for those needing
an early arrival at the airport.
Shopping
Glasgow Prestwick is an international airport, and therefore
has a bureau de change facility. There are two bank machines
(ATM's) located in the main concourse, and the departure lounge.
Disabled facilities and free wheelchair provision and assistance
are available. There are a variety of shops, restaurants and
bars in the departure lounge area. Internet kiosks for access
to e-mail and internet are located on the first floor of the
main terminal and in the departure lounge. The airport also offers
a ‘Shop and Collect’ service at the Tax Free Shop
which means passengers can shop and then store the items at the
airport until they return. (This service is only available for
travel within the EEC ).
Business Facilities
The Manor Park hotel is located approx. three minutes from
the airport. They have four impressive conference facilities
which can accommodate from Boardroom to 140 Theatre style. All
hotel rooms and conference rooms have free Broadband internet

Parkstone Hotel ***
Located just three minutes by car from the airport, the hotel
is also close to local golf clubs, the railway station and
town centre. It has lovely views of the Isle of Arran and Firth
of Clyde as well as a restaurant and lounge bar. The hotel’s
30 non-smoking en-suite rooms all have views of either the
gardens or the seafront.
Manor Park Country Lodge Hotel
Located close to Prestwick Airport and golf courses, this
