Costa Rica


Costa Rica is located in Central America, between Nicaragua to the north and Panama to the south, bordering the Caribbean Sea and the N. Pacific Ocean. There are seven Provinces and the main language is Spanish, although most Costa Ricans (known as ‘Ticos’) speak some English. The Costa Rican natives are known for their friendliness and hospitality.


A trip to Costa Rica truly offers something for everyone. It is a popular destination for water sports enthusiasts, with fantastic scuba diving, windsurfing, parasailing, fishing, snorkeling, kayaking, surfing, white-water rafting, sport fishing, to name a few. There are volcanoes and rainforests to be explored and canopy tours. It is also a popular golf destination and for other outdoor activities such as horseback riding, ballooning, cycling and bird-watching. If all you want to do is relax on the beach, Costa Rica is the ideal place with its idyllic beaches. It is just a few degrees north of the equator, so make sure you take along plenty of sunblock.


Costa Rica is one of the places on earth which can truly be described as a paradise. From the beautiful sun-drenched beaches to the mountainous areas, volcanoes, rain forests, waterfalls, rivers, and everything in between. Costa Rica boasts a rich variety of flora and fauna, with protected forests, nature reserves and National Parks.


The capital, San Jose , is a must-see for most visitors. There are many attractions, including museums, art galleries, theatres, markets, malls, shops and good restaurants.


Many visitors prefer to rent a car to maximize their time and see more of this beautiful country. There are guided tours, taxis, buses, air tours, helicopters and other options too.
